This Nirvana guitar tabs track 'Smells Like Teen Spirit' is from 1991 and was constantly played on MTV. Whenever I play this song I can always hear the drums and bass start playing after the guitar intro!

The title is from a conversation that Kurt had with his girlfriend when they were partying. She wrote 'Kurt smells like Teen Spirit' on the wall. They had been talking about youth and revolution, so Kurt thought that it meant she thought he was a person who could inspire, but this was also the name of a deodorant so it's not clear which is correct!

Play this song using the F5 shape (F power chord) on fret 1, then the same shape on fret 4.

There's also some palm mutes (look like an x), but the player seems to think they are notes so the tab doesn't sound exactly right. I'm sure you've heard this track so you know what it sounds like!
