Since 1833, Martin Guitars has been producing some
of the best acoustic guitars in the world.
Originally created by Christian Frederick Martin,
the guitars are still made by the Martin family.
With so many fine models, there is a wide range to
choose from. One that stands out is the Martin
Standard 000-42.
As Martin guitars are the highest quality acoustic
guitars available (there is no better acoustic
guitar maker - the customer reviews and satisfaction
is unbelievable!) they also come with fairly large
price tags.
Considering that the Martin 000-42 is hand made it's
price is around $5800 (about £2900). Guitars in the
Martin range starting with '000' are known as
'Auditorium'. The 42 is the type of styling (goes
from 0-100, 100 being fancier and 0 being very
simple).
Constructed in Mahogany, Sitka Spruce and East
Indian Rosewood, it produces a warm, polished sound.
It is also worth noting that left handed versions
are available at no extra cost.
Something to be on the look out for is the Martin
hidden treasure range. These are Martin limited
edition guitars that are very, Very rare!
There is a list on the Martin website but I'll also put it here

Each of these guitars is rather special and are either already classics, or will very soon become one.
With tender love and care they will only increase in value and not only be fun to play, they will be a very tidy investment. With remakes of classic songs, retro guitars are also in fashion at the moment.
The Martin guitars D-18 Authentic 1937 is an old style guitar originally made in the 1930s.
Made from Solid Genuine Mahogany, all of the small details from the original guitar have been carefully recreated so it really stands out as a real acoustic players guitar.
