Guitar Picking Patterns

This video shows guitar picking patterns and how to hold the guitar pick.


Guitar picks come in various shapes and sizes. If you’re just starting out then you should choose a standard plastic guitar pick that is about 1 millimetre thick. This means that it doesn’t bend too much when you pluck a string.

Guitar picking uses the down stroke and the up stroke.
