Guitar Picking Exercises

These guitar picking exercises will help to strengthen your fingers and improve playing speed. Follow these examples carefully and use them as part of daily practice.

Just 5-10 minutes a day practicing these exercises for guitar will improve your ability to change chords quickly, playing solos and moving up and down the guitar neck will soon be a breeze!

Guitar Finger Strengthening Exercise 1

This is one of the chromatic guitar exercises. Based around the chromatic guitar scale you use all four fingers on your left hand, while using up and down picking strokes in the right hand.
