Guitar Chord E Major

It is very easy to play the guitar chord E Major, it is the most used chord of any on the guitar. By moving this shape around the guitar and playing 'barre chords' you can play practically any chord you want!

To start playing E Major, put your 1st finger on fret 1 of the 3rd string, your 2nd finger on fret 2 of the 5th string and your 3rd finger on fret 2 of the 4th string. You can play all of the strings on the guitar without any notes clashing.

Once you have mastered the E Major chord you will be able to start playing Barre chords. This will open up a whole new area to your guitar playing.
