Fender have aged this guitar using a special process used only in their Custom Shop. They have even added scratches and cigarette burns just like the original guitar. If you're lucky enough to find one then it will have a Seymour Duncan Custom Shop hum bucking pickup and single volume knob (this says TONE on it just like Eddie's one). It even has a broken 3 way switch to make it completely identical to what Van Halen played.

If like me you can't spare tens of thousands, the Eddie Van Halen Art Series guitars have slightly more down to earth prices, are made in larger numbers (limited edition) but are still very fun and collectable. They are all autographed by Eddie himself. The Frankenstein replica art series is also part of this range.

The Art Series Eddie Van Halen Frankenstein guitar has a Custom-striped basswood body and a wound EVH humbucker pickup with an original Floyd Rose locking vibrato tremolo. There is a Single tone knob and compound-radius bolt-on maple neck.

Avid Van Halen fans can still get EVH accessories. There is a line of guitar effects pedals available made by MXR Innovations, the MXR Eddie Van Halen Phase 90 Phaser Pedal and the MXR EVH 117 Flanger are just 2 of the range.

Eddie originally used and has always used MXR pedals since he started playing the guitar so if you want official EVH pedals then MXR are the ones to go for.
