To find the best beginner electric guitar you need to decide on a budget and then look for guitars in your price range. Fender, Epiphone and Peavey (as well as loads more!) have all released beginner guitar packages.
Don't be drawn straight into buying these packages. When you first pick up a guitar and play it, it will always make your fingers hurt! It takes time for your fingers to naturally get used to the guitar strings. Over time the skin on the tips of your fingers will get harder and you will be able to play without hurting them.
When choosing a guitar for the first time, have a look at nylon strung guitars. These are normally classical acoustic guitars, although they can be used to play any style of music, not just classical. Nylon strings are softer than electric guitar strings which are usually steel. For the first 6 months to a year it's best to use a nylon strung guitar to avoid damaging your fingers. If you have a tight budget then you can rent a guitar, there are a lot of music shops that offer this type of rental. If you're still at school then the music department might be able to help with finding a rental guitar.
Once you've got been playing for 6 months or so, go out and buy the best beginner electric guitar...
Getting the best beginner electric guitar isn‘t difficult, but seeing as you‘ll be playing it all the time you want to be sure you‘re getting the right one. The wrong one could make it harder to learn as if the guitar doesn’t feel right to you then it won’t be fun to play.
One players favourite guitar might be another players worst choice. It is completely up to you which guitar you buy, although if it has lots of bad reviews it might be best to avoid it!
The guitar I play most is a Fender Stratocaster (if you’ve seen any of the videos in the Beginner Guitar Lessons section it’s the white one). Believe it or not it was only the third guitar I ever bought, I sat in the guitar store for about an hour playing lots of different guitars to get a feel for each one, until I finally chose it.

This best beginner electric guitar is great for playing any style of music, it’s very versatile and you’ll be able to use it for learning and even gigging.
When I was at college one of the guys in my class had this guitar and he used it all the way through the course, it sounded just as good as some of the much more expensive guitars, but don’t forget that you are getting a lot for your money so while it’s a good guitar you will eventually want to upgrade.
For a best beginner electric guitar it’s great though!
