Beginning Guitar Lesson Plan

Are you struggling finding time to learn the guitar? Plan your time using my beginning guitar lesson plan.

If you are serious about learning, stick to the plan and you will be a pro in no time!

Practice for at least 30 minutes each day, everyday!

First 5 Minutes - Warming Up

Warm up your strumming/picking hand by plucking the strings using the walking technique.

10 Minutes -

Practice strumming and chords, get rid of buzzing sounds! Try a different chord each day.

10 Minutes -

Practice a scale. Try a different scale each day from Major, Minor and Blues.

Last 5 Minutes -

Practice changing from one chord to another. Start with just two chords then add in new ones every few days.

As you learn new techniques, add them to this plan. A lot of Professional guitarists play their guitar for 4 or more hours a day! There is always a technique to practice! It won't be long before you can play like a pro. Did you know that Jimi Hendrix used to sleep next to his guitar just incase he wanted to play it during the night? Also, Steve Vai used to practice playing the guitar on the toilet!!
