Learning the guitar is a
fulfilling experience. To become an accomplished
musician takes a lot of dedication and practice. You
will be spending a lot of time with your guitar so it is
essential that you choose the best one to suit you.
There are various styles of electric guitar available, with a lot of manufacturers after your hard earned cash.
You can get guitars in kits
Personally my favourite guitar is a Fender Stratocaster. I own a white 1960s reproduction version that I am very proud of. There is nothing worse than playing a guitar you don’t like of feel uncomfortable playing, so choose very carefully and don't just settle on the first electric guitar you find!
Spend time choosing your guitar, if you don’t play yet, borrow a guitar from a friend and learn the very basics before buying your guitar. The only way to really test before buying is to play the actual guitar – you can’t play it if you haven’t learned the basics.
